October 14 2013:

The third figure I've sculpted for Arena Rex, is 'Gaius Pallidus', a gladiator-style version of the 'Green Knight' from Arthurian legend.

September 12 2013:

M E T A L M A D N E S S ! ! !

ALL of the remaining Guild of Harmony steampunk figures have now been released in METAL.

This includes Steampunk Arielle - just in time, because the resin version has now sold out!

The other new metal releases are Steampunk Aykroyd and Zara Craft. Plus, Steampunk Alice now comes with the metal version of the Clockwork Rabbit.

Check out the Online Store - I have put up some special DISCOUNT DEALS for the steampunk figures!

September 6 2013:

I sculpted this figure - 'Vargr' - last month for Arena Rex, a new tabletop skirmish game by Red Republic Games.

June 28 2013:

New steampunk release today! Resin 'Steampunk Arielle' is now available in the Online Store!

Hailing from the windswept North Atlantic coast, Arielle has always felt a deep affinity with the sea. This nautical connection has sparked late-night tavern lore that Arielle, in fact, comes from the sea itself; a conjecture that Arielle mischievously enjoys cultivating.

This first resin edition is limited to 300 copies.

I also have two more pieces of news!

First: I have reduced the price of all the older figures in my online store - the standard price of the non-steampunk figures is now only AUD$9.95.

The second big, exciting piece of news is this: Arielle is actually a precursor to a major new project I currently have in development, in partnership with some friends who are also heavily involved in the industry. For this reason, I have given up commission work (with the exception of some prior commitments) so that I can devote myself exclusively to sculpting for this new project, and I already have some great new miniatures ready - I think they are my best work to date! It is very exciting to be involved in something big, for which I am working for myself rather than under commission, and I can't wait to reveal more - there may be some sneak peeks coming up at some point in the near future, so stay tuned!

May 24 2013:

There are now less than 15 resin copies of 'Steampunk Alice' left in the Online Store!

Once these are gone, no more resins will be made - EVER! So this is your last chance to get a resin copy before they are sold out.

HUGE thanks to everyone who has bought a copy since its release.

However, all hope is not lost if you've missed out: the metal version of this figure is almost ready, and due for release in around 2 weeks from now. But only the resin version will be sold together with the 'clockwork rabbit'!

More steampunk releases soon!

The metal version of 'Steampunk Alice' is now available in the Online Store!

I know some of you have been hanging out for the metal version, for that extra gaming durability and 'gravitas' that comes with the weight!

The resin version is now completely sold out (thanks again to everyone who bought a copy!), so this is your only chance to grab a copy of Alice.

Stay tuned - I've got a brand new steampunk release coming very soon, as well as a little bit of exciting news regarding a secret project!

Two new releases this week! The metal separate individual versions of Steampunk Maria Poppets and Steampunk Albert are now available in the Online Store!

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

April 12 2013:

More steampunk has finally arrived: 'Aykroyd, Paranormal Investigator' is now available in the online shop!

Spending most of his time immersed in the subterranean, maze-like sewers of New London on the trail of spiritual entities, or trawling the royal libraries for mystical apocrypha in aid of his latest ghastly case, Professor Aykroyd is consumed by his study of the supernatural.

Knowledge of Aykroyd's penchant for the paranormal has spread far and wide across the Empire. Consequently, wherever rumour abounds of something strange in the neighbourhood, spooked citizens know just who to call.

Aykroyd, Paranormal Investigator is now available in the Online Store, as a limited edition resin.

The resin run is strictly limited to 300 casts, and each cast is sold with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

March 19 2013:

I was in Toronto, Canada at the start of March, filming some painting and basing videos for Miniature Mentor. A really great experience, and I'll let you know when the videos become available! :)

February 20 2013:

I just found out that Steampunk Maria Poppets and Albert won the ModellFan 'Model of the Year: 2013' prize for the 28mm/1:72 category, awarded at the Nuremburg Toy Fair!

February 19 2013:

Another new addition to the gallery! This is the 'Sandgroper Cup 7' official tournament figure - it's a Bloodbowl tournament in Western Australia: Sandgroper Cup. I think everyone who attends gets a free copy of the figure! :)

February 7 2013:

This figure was sculpted for Arena Rex, a new tabletop skirmish game by Red Republic Games.

January 31 2013:

I was really thrilled and honoured to learn that some of my work had some sucess in the 'Wamp Awards 2012' competition. The Wamp Awards are a public voting contest run by the Wamp Forum.

My painted version of Steampunk Alice won 1st place in the Best Painted Steampunk category

Steampunk Tinker Belle won 1st in Best Steampunk Sculpt

Steampunk Alice was 2nd in Best Steampunk Sculpt

My 54mm version of Kreimhild's Revenge for Morland Studios was 2nd in the Best Fantasy Sculpt category.

For the full list of winners see here: Wamp Awards 2012

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who voted! :)

January 15 2013:

I've added some more figures to the sculpting gallery: this is the crew of the Calamity, for the Sedition Wars game by Studio McVey.

November 9 2012:

The next Guild of Harmony Steampunk 32mm release is 'Zara Craft, Relic Hunter' - now available!

A wayward daughter of the aristocratic 'Craft' family, Zara satisfies her rebellious desire for adventure by seeking out forgotten artefacts in the eldritch crypts and ancient, labyrinthine tunnel systems beneath the bustling streets of New London. Known for her agility and athleticism, alongside deadly proficiency with her dual pistols, Zara is more than capable of holding her own when a situation turns sour.

Zara Craft, Relic Hunter is now available in the Online Store, as a limited edition resin.

The resin run is strictly limited to 350 casts, and each cast is sold with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

October 5 2012:

This figure was sculpted for the Predastore, and has been dubbed the 'Austral Predator' for obvious reasons considering my location and nationality!

It was fun dealing with such a famous subject as the 'Predator'...I'm a big fan of the classic Schwarzenegger action movie, so it was cool to make something inspired by the same subject, but at the same time try to give a bit of my own interpretation and individuality to the figure.

August 24 2012:

The next Guild of Harmony Steampunk release is 'Alice', with her clockwork rabbit!

Alice is a character of mysterious origin, seeming to appear from nowhere in the midst of a skirmish to tilt the course of a conflict one way or another, before disappearing just as quickly. Usually seen with her clockwork rabbit in tow, her true allegiances are unknown; all that can be said for sure is that her help is welcomed by those who receive it.

Steampunk Alice and her Clockwork Rabbit are now available in the Online Store, as a limited edition resin set.

The resin run is strictly limited to 400 casts, and each cast is sold with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

August 21 2012:

The next 54mm figure I've sculpted for Morland Studios is 'Justitia, Roman Goddess of Justice' based on the artwork by Howard David Johnson. The scales she holds aren't quite finished in these pics - there are going to be two dishes hanging by chains, and real chain is going to be used for the kit rather than cast chains.

This figure is featured in the current Morland Studios Kickstarter campaign: Kickstarter.

Only 40 hours left in the Kickstarter, so you'd better hurry if you want in!

I've added more pics of the figure to the sculpting gallery here on Guild of Harmony.

July 24 2012:

Here's another figure sculpted for Morland Studios' 'Howard David Johnson' line. This one is a 54mm version of 'Kreimhild's Revenge' - last year I sculpted a 32mm version of the same figure, so it was interesting to revisit the artwork. It's also my first 54mm sculpt, so it was great to have a go at sculpting in a slightly larger scale.

This figure is available as part of a new Kickstarter campaign started by Morland Studios: Kickstarter.

The Kickstarter campaign is aimed at funding some more 54mm sculpts based on Howard David Johnson's artworks.

I've added more pics of the figure to the sculpting gallery here on Guild of Harmony.

July 13 2012:

The metal version of Steampunk Tinker Belle has finally arrived!

For those of you who missed getting a resin copy before they were sold out, simply prefer metal, or have just been waiting for a more 'durable' gaming version, the metal Steampunk Tinker Belle is now available in the Online Store.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

June 26 2012:

The next Guild of Harmony Steampunk release is here at last! I promise there won't be such a long wait for the next one.

One of the rare heart-warming sights in the Clockwork Empire is that of Maria Poppets and her faithful companion Albert, almost seeming to float on air as they dance their way across the rooftops of New London searching out those in need of good cheer. Carried from place to place by changes in the wind, the often-unexpected appearance of Maria and Albert is considered a good omen amongst the downtrodden citizens of the smokestack slums.

Steampunk Maria Poppets and Albert are now available in the Online Store, as a limited edition resin set.

The resin run is strictly limited to 350 casts, and each cast is sold with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

A metal alternate version of each figure is also planned for the future, but this 'holding hands and taking off' version will only be available in the resin - the metal versions will be sold separately.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

June 10 2012:

I've posted a special sneak peek of the upcoming (and long-overdue!) Guild of Harmony steampunk figure on the new facebook page:

Guild of Harmony facebook

If I get enough 'likes' then I might post another sneak peek! ;)

June 8 2012:

Here's a figure I sculpted at the end of last year, for Morland Studios' 'Howard David Johnson' line. This one is based on the artwork 'Perseus and Medusa'.

This figure is now available from the Morland Studios Shop.

I've added more pics of the figure to the sculpting gallery here on Guild of Harmony.

June 3 2012:

I recently finished a re-sculpt of one of the iconic characters from Privateer Press: Ashlynn D'Elyse, from the Warmachine universe.

She was sculpted as a special release for the PP 'Lock & Load' tournament/convention in the USA.

-sebastian

May 13 2012:
I've added a new figure, 'Henrietta Jekyll', to the sculpting gallery.

This figure is now available at Infamy Miniatures:

February 19 2012:
I was amazed and thrilled to learn that 'Steampunk Tinker Belle' was the winner of the 2011 Readers Choice Best Alternative Adventure Miniature poll. Very cool, a big thank you to everyone that voted, and to those that nominated my figure in the first place! A real honour :)

There are now less than 10 resin copies left of Tinker Belle at the Guild of Harmony store, so they are almost gone - better act fast if you still want one, because once they're gone, that's it - they're gone!

The next steampunk figure should be coming very soon. Or should I say steampunk figures...the next release is a partnership of sorts, but I don't want to ruin the surprise. Stay tuned, folks!

January 29 2012:
Here's a figure I sculpted last year for Morland Studios, for their new line of figures based on the artwork of the well-known American fantasy artist Howard David Johnson. It's a real honour to be given the task of re-creating such artwork in miniature form.

This figure is now available from the Morland Studios Shop.

I've added more pics of the figure to the sculpting gallery here on Guild of Harmony.

December 2 2011:
The Guild of Harmony Steampunk range is here!

So-named for her famed combination of mechanical know-how and feminine charm, Tinker Belle can often be found soaring through the skies in her efforts to repair the airships of the Confederate Fleet, or sharing a risque joke in one of the Empire's bawdier steam-taverns.

Steampunk Tinker Belle is now finally available in the Online Store, as a limited edition resin figure.

The resin run is strictly limited to 350 casts, and each cast is sold with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

A metal version of the figure is also planned for the future.

More steampunk figures are coming soon!

November 26 2011:
I am home again from my trip to Italy, as a guest judge at the Monte San Savino show. This was the first time I had been to MSS, and all I can say is that it was FANTASTIC...really incredible - the best show I have been to, the atmosphere was amazing. Mostly due to the unequalled hospitality of the Italian painting community: they created such a special feeling of friendship that outsiders like me or Roman and Raffa (jarhead and picster) were quite shocked and emotional all weekend! Whether it was drinking from the huge 20 litre bottle of 'medieval mead' being passed around late at night in the freezing cold in the centre of the ancient town; the packed-to-breaking-point restaurant of Legio Pictorum members at the 'Legionnaires' dinner; or just the way we guests were so kindly looked after day to day and treated like international VIPs, the event was something I will never forget, and I'll hold the memories of my first Monte San Savino very dear forever, I think.

The competition itself was said to be the best of the year, in terms of quality and quantity...the standard of the figures was so high that many people were stunned. Judging was a very difficult and time-consuming task: my judging team took such a long time with one particular category (historical master painting) that we delayed everyone else for hours, and eventually we were all kicked out of the museum and had to return the following morning to complete the job! haha :)

The venue itself is quite unlike any other contest I have attended. The contest is held inside a historical museum, converted from a 13th century keep/armoury (if you can believe it!). So the miniatures are surrounded by ancient stonework, narrow passages, steep staircases, and a very medieval feel that creates an incredible sense of atmosphere.

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the organisers of Monte San Savino, and to all of the Italian community for creating such a memorable and beautiful event. I will never forget it - long live Monte San Savino! :D

The MSS2011 videos posted by Roman on Massive Voodoo sum up the feeling of the event perfectly, so I will just add a few extra little photos of my trip:

September 16 2011:
I'm back home again from a trip to World Expo, held in Montreux, Switzerland. I was on the judging panel for the even this yeart, although judges were able to enter categories for which they were not responsible, so I threw in a few entires - I was fortunate enough to win another gold medal in the 'master painting' category, a real honour :)

I then had a great time travelling through southern Germany with Weisern and his sister, doing some sightseeing round Bavaria at Neuschwanstein Castle, the Alps near Garmisch-Partenkirchen (we went to the top of the 'Zugspitze') and then Munich, Rothenburg and finally Berlin (very briefly!).

One of the highlights of the trip was meeting the crazy gorilla guys from MASSIVE VOODOO, when we stayed with Raffa (picster) in Augsburg, and had some crazp painting nights with Roman (jarhead), Peter and Christian.

The other news is that a new steampunk figure is coming very soon...some company for Steampunk Dorothy. The new one is called 'Steampunk Tinker Belle'...stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks! :) -sebastian

July 4 2011:
Happy 4th of July to our American friends! :)

Steampunk Dorothy

is now finally available in the Online Store!

June 27 2011:
Phoenicia, Vanys and Blagrut are now available in the Online Store!

The metal Dorothy casts should be ready very shortly, so 'stay tuned'. Apologies for the delay; there have been a lot of 'behind the scenes' type problems getting the figure ready for metal production, but everything has been solved now, so not long to wait :)
