Commission work - Painting and Sculpting services

Painting Commissions

Prices are in Australian dollars.

The figurines hobby is not about standardisation: every job is different, and presents various challenges and possibilities. Therefore, I prefer to negotiate prices with a client on a case-by-case basis, depending on the work involved based on complexity, size, style etc. of the miniature. As a rough guide to give you an idea of what to expect, the painting and basing of a standard 32mm miniature (single mini) will cost around AUD$450 (roughly AUD$12-14 per hour). Simpler figurines may cost less, depending on the time taken to complete; for complex or large miniatures the cost will increase. The price does not include shipping costs, which are the responsibility of the client.

I will usually require a deposit of around 25% before work begins.

For this price, I will paint or sculpt a figure to my highest level. I never work below my level for commissions; working to a high level is what I enjoy, and the only sort of work I do. If you are interested in having me do some work for you, just email me at sebastian.wwa@gmail.com, and we can discuss the job and negotiate a fair price. Any questions or queries are welcome - again, please just send me an email and I will be happy to talk about it.

Goods, assembly, materials

If you are supplying the miniature, please make sure all parts are: free from miscasts; complete; not broken. If you want me to purchase the miniature, the purchase cost will be added to the total cost of the commission.

If you send us an assembled miniature, please make sure the mould lines are removed and all parts are pinned (preferably left separate). If we are to assemble the parts, we will make sure: the mould lines are removed; all parts are pinned (where possible); gaps are filled. We have 0.5mm pins to do even the smallest parts.

Paints, varnishes, regular basing material and other accessories used are factored into the standard pricing. Complex display bases will cost extra. Testor's Dullcote or equivalent is used to seal finished products if desired.

Sculpting Commissions

Prices are in Australian dollars.

Sculpting a figure is more difficult and time-consuming than painting, so my sculpting price is currently around AUD$600 to sculpt a standard 30mm figure. Larger or complicated figures may cost more; very simple figures may cost less. The full cost will be negotiated before work begins. For this price you will receive a fully sculpted figure to fit your specifications, as well as the productions rights to the figure, should you wish to have it cast commercially. The price does not include shipping costs, which are the responsibility of the client.

I will usually require a deposit of around 25% before work begins.
