Painted for my friend Sven, from Sweden! :)
Perhaps I got a little carried away with the chips, but hopefully it still works for a Nurgle figure. All the chips were done using the 'sponge' technique, where a piece of blister pack foam is used to dab dark- coloured paint onto the surface, to give an irregular arrangement of chips. These chips are then modified and neatened a little with a brush, and made to look more 3D by adding some highlights on the under edges.
Most of the dirt and rust was applied with pigment powders. Oranges, dark reds, even some green colours. It gives a very fast and effective effect I think, and adds another dimension to figures.
