This is my version of the 'toxic girl', by Fatal Personality.
She was a commission/gift - a friend in Italy asked me to paint her, for him to give as a gift to Emanuele Giovagnoni, the sculptor.
I also entered her in the Chick Challenge 2009!
It's a great figure - teeny tiny, really small, but fantastic shapes on her dress for painting. Another very nice sculpt by the extremely talented Emanuele.
The barrels on the base were painted with a combination of stippling and pigments. I painted them in a dark orange-brown as a base colour (like GW bestial brown mixed with black), then stippled the surface messily with different oranges, reds, browns, blacks, some greys, and so on, until the surface was quite textured. Then the 'dustiness' came in with the pigments, where again I used a wide variety of colours, including dusty grey-browns, black, quite strong red and orange, and so on. The slight metallic effect on the rims was done by rubbing along them with a lead pencil :)
